What our readers are saying...

As a physician, knowing that Scott Greenberg and his team are out there helping to care for our  most frail, elderly patients gives me great comfort. Scott is a successful entrepreneur with a kind-hearted soul. In a word, Scott is a mensch!
            Stuart J. Bagatell, MD, FACP

Scott Greenberg continues to apply passion and great energy to help improve the future for aging baby-boomers and elderly throughout his community. His laser lake focus and no-nonsense approach is truly remarkable and an inspiration for others to model.
            Mark Armstrong, ComForcare Senior Services

Having had the pleasure of knowing Scott Greenberg personally and professionally, I feel I must weigh in. In the world of aging, I come across all kinds of people who work in this field, but there are two kinds that stand out in my mind: those who mainly work for the paycheck, and those who care more about the seniors they serve. Scott Greenberg examplifies the latter in more ways than one. He knows how difficult it is for families emotionally and financially when it comes to finding help for their aging loved ones. He knows how confusing it can be for the families to negotiate their way around the ins and outs of this fast-growing field. If you're looking for Scott's heart, you'll find it in his work...and it shows in the hours he invests as he's always available when you need him. You see, of the two types of workers I mentioned, no matter how committed and hard-working these caregivers are, there can be an ocean of difference in how they give care. Scott Greenberg is the very definition of "caring"...especially when it comes to seniors.
Jaime Estremera-Fitzgerald, CEO, Area Agency on Aging/Your Aging & Disability Resource Center

Scott Greenberg has done it again. Scott's no-nonsense, practical and entertaining approach on aging issues continues in this must read for everyone concerned about a loved one's later years as well as their own. My clients and their families praise the value of the information Scott provides with his extensive experience and sense of humor.
            Michelle Hollister, Elder Law Attorney

When Scott Greenberg first wrote, "Oh My God, I'm Getting Older and So Is My Mom," I had the distinct pleasure of writing an endorsement that personified his background leading up to writing the book. Since that time, Scott has become more involved in family caregiving seminars and support groups. Further, his extensive knowledge of home health care, guardianship and his unique ability to put the "bigger picture" of aging and caring in America together with a keen understanding of people's attitudes, wants and needs make him an author/observer of incredible depth. With the addition of four new chapters and a review and updating of the previous content, the book now creates an even more outstanding resource and perspective for the reader. Combined with his wisdom and unique sense of humor, this new edition is still a "must read" as it adds and clarifies what he has learned in the years since the first edition. As an industry "change agent" he has accomplished what he has set out to do with this book.
David Levy, JD, CCE, Gerontologist and author of "The Family Caregiver Manual"

Through the years, I have seen the care, dedication, compassion and patience Scott offers for those who need guidance and support. His knowledge and skills leave no question as to his ethical guidelines and professional standards of practice. I am proud to call Scott Greenberg a friend and mentor. Thank you for the hard work and outstanding efforts you put into everything you do!
Karen Greene, Nurse Care Manager & National Certified Guardian, President/CEO of Hired Hearts, Inc., President of Florida State Guardianship Association

Scott Greenberg has a passionate expertise for the services he provides his clients and their families. He and his team give the highest level of support to people with special needs, that often times arise in the course of our general lives. Through their care, the quality of the lives of the patient, and the families, are enhanced.
            Richard A. Levine, MD, FACP

Getting older is not for the faint of heart. Watching your parents age is even scarier. Scott Greenberg's book doesn't take the stress and fear of the experience away, but it talks about it all in a thoughtful and often humorous way that makes the scariest of it all just a little easier to take. A must read for anyone with aging parents and a desire to think ahead to what is to come.

Thank you for providing us with the opportunity to tell the Scripps story to your listeners. Laura, Paul and I all felt that the experience was most meaningful, as well as being fun. You are a terrific host.
            Alex, The Scripps Research Institute

"Oh My God, I'm Getting Older and So Is My Mom" was the topic of discussion when BMO Private Bank hosted a luncheon recently at the National Croquet Center in West Palm Beach. Author and radio host, Scott Greenberg, provided an insightful and humorous conversation about aging. Mr. Greenberg addressed many serious issues that face baby boomers and their parents in a humorous and informative way. Topics included funeral options, the importance of volunteerism, elder abuse and prescription medications. Mr. Greenberg's presentation helped us make the point that planning now can help alleviate stress and unexpected challenges for the future. That planning includes having the correct financial team in place to help you ease into the transition of retirement. The program was well received by all of our guests.
            Marti, BMO Private Bank

Scott certainly exceeded expectation today with his Alzheimer's lecture.  The Ibis members were certainly engaged and the message was well received.  This lecture and the last lecture on dealing with aging and aging parents were very interesting as well as entertaining.  Scott has a great way of delivering a message in a lighthearted way.
            Nadine, IBIS Country Club

I ended up giving your book to my client who you met and he called me today to tell me he loved it and is ordering 2 on Amazon for his brothers!
            Amy S.

Your book: Well written, insightful and very helpful in dealing with us aging people. The checklists in each chapter are superb and could be made into a series of articles in the Palm Beach Post.
            Richard L.

Scott, congratulations on this wonderful text! This is a MUST read for anyone wanting to learn more about the complexities involved in caring for ourselves & loved ones throughout the aging process. Scott, your ability to educate readers in a fashion that embraces humor, love, and real world wisdom is invaluable in dealing with the serious and sometimes difficult topics encompassing aging. Simply stated, as a physician, this book has taught me a great deal about aging and the human spirit - I highly recommend it.

I got your book yesterday!!!   I read the first 20 pages and it is so great...the info is so timely for me and Bev, but more interesting is that the book is you, it is your story...so great.....I can tell already that it just might be the most useful book I've ever read.... (2nd testimonial: I'm maybe halfway through your book...you have a real talent with the written word...and such great advice...)
            Bernie H.

I wanted to say thank you for sending a copy of your book.  I'm really enjoying it.  My husband had a brain aneurysm 2 years ago and has needed care ever since, so I'm intimately familiar with the issues.  I enjoyed your sense of humor - so necessary in these kinds of situations.
            Shannon B.

F. "Scott" Fitzgerald has always been one of my favored authors. Now I am proud to say that I can add another "Scott" to my list. Christa never stopped laughing. Congratulations for a job very well done!
            Frank S.

This book was fantastic. Humor combined with vital guidelines for both a caregiver of an elderly parent and for a person, like myself, who has to look at all aspects of financial planning. I always enjoy a book that is fast reading, humorous, and informative. Everyone should read this book. If you are between the ages of forty to one hundred...there is something of value that you will take with you.
            Lillian N.

Just wanted to thank you for sending me a copy of your book. I started reading it and it is excellent! I love the no nonsense and practical perspective. Extremely well written!
            Athena V.

Nice job on the book. I just finished reading it. Glad you did not get into the part about you and Irene having sex. Seriously, I though it was a light, easy read on a tough subject. I plan on sharing it with both my parents and in-laws. It is a good ice breaker for some serious conversations that need to happen.
            Stephen S.

Got the book and I laughed out loud a few times. Lots of good stuff there.
            Artie D.

Not just informative, funny, but a great read, & yes, I read it.  Very helpful, & much appreciated. Guess you found your calling!
            Barbara L.

Your book is excellent, I loved the read!
            Jeff B.

I received the book yesterday afternoon and am almost finished with it - it really is a fantastic read and truly unique.
            Eva S.

Thank you for the book. You write well with humor and you make sense. I think it is terrific.
            Jay G.

It is really good -- interesting, well-written, funny and down-to-earth. I particularly enjoyed the parts that mentioned Dinah, of course, but the way Scott uses examples from other people's experience is very, very helpful. I also like how he shows his business side, in a very caring and human way. As you can see, I'm giving it a big thumbs up! I am in awe of anyone who can sit down and actually produce a book and impressed how Scott has taken to this topic in his second career mode. I will put it to good use in my work, and will share with friends as the need arises.
            Judy P.

Scott, I finally had a chance to read your book in one sitting. I was going through a MOHS surgery for a cancer spot on my ear, which left plenty of time to read. Very good book and one I could have used years ago. I cared for my parents and experienced much of what you wrote about. I'm going to pass your book along to a friend who has an aging mother. I'm sure your book will be a great help to her. By the way, the book sounded just like you, and I have an autographed copy!
